Guardianships & Conservatorships
A guardianship gives a person the legal authority to care for and make a range of decisions for another person; a conservatorship gives a person the legal authority to manage a person’s finances
Courts refer to conservatorship and guardianship proceedings as “protective proceedings.” Elderly adults or people with diminished capacity may need assistance managing their personal safety, finances, or both.
Our office is here to help you appoint the appropriate person for these responsibilities. In many cases, both guardianship and conservatorship are suitable for the same individual.
We help you understand the complexities of your situation and offer guidance that protects the interests of your loved ones.
Elderly adults or incapacitated adults may require another person to manage their personal safety, their finances or both. Our office can assist you in appointing the appropriate person. Many times both a guardianship and a conservatorship will be appropriate for the same person.
If you are worried about a loved one and believe that a guardianship or conservatorship may be appropriate, please contact the law office of Robert W. Good and schedule an appointment to discuss your concerns.
